Length: 6 months contract with the possibility of extension and conversion to full time employment
Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid) - in office 1 day a week; collaborative day with some flexibility
Working Hours: 9 am to 5 pm
Line of Business: Capital Markets (CM) Technology and Operations (T&O) - Liquid Products Technology

Requirements:
ROLE MANDATE:
Our business unit supports all project delivery activities for Capital Markets Middle Office and Derivative Operations teams for both systems and process improvements. The incumbent will work with multiple Capital Markets and technology business partner from middle and back offices to support several derivative product groups throughout the bank. They will globally support the development and implementation of strategic directives, new business opportunities, product initiatives, and service developments for the Derivative Operations areas of the business. The successful candidate will be expected to be able to work independently and must have hands on experience with Calypso configuration.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (but are not limited to):
Capture, analyze, and document Calypso business requirements from our Operations Partners
Design, Build, and Test Accounting, Settlement and Confirmation Configuration Requirements in the Calypso Back-Office Module
Create UAT test plans and support End-User UAT testing activities
Investigate/Triage of UAT test case issues
Identifies the Calypso business needs for new and enhanced products, services, and business processes, clarifies technology and process requirements to identify gaps
Act as Project Delivery's lead representative for Capital Markets Middle Office and Derivative Operations in the management of day-to-day Calypso business issues
Capture, analyze, and document Calypso business requirements to ensure the quality of the output, as well as provide direction for business stakeholders
Create, implement, and execute Calypso User Acceptance Testing (UAT) plans, and recommend actions related to the results
For large, complex problems, facilitate large group requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders from different LOBs to ensure that all impacted parties have an opportunity to express their needs
Builds, sustains, and leverages relationships and people networks across business functions, business partners, and external organizations to ensure a cooperative and productive environment
Provides consultancy, collaborates with business partners and provides advice to business partners on system automation, usability of technology and supports for process improvements
Creates presentations tracking status updates for their portfolio of projects, hot topics and strategic developments including but not limited to senior management updates or presentations
Represent Global Product Operations and/or Capital Markets middle office on projects and initiatives to provide business-specific context, information and analysis on proposed changes. Initiatives may include the development and implementation of new/revised products, new systems or enhancements, new/revised processes in support of internal efficiencies and industry regulatory changes
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Must have configuration and/or operational experience with Calypso
Demonstrates advanced relationship management, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
Is proactive, independent, has high energy, and a, "step-up and do it," attitude
Is able to manage change and cope with complex and ambiguous situations
Solid problem solving and analytical skills
Advanced presentation creation and delivery skills to management stakeholders
Possesses advanced influencing and negotiating skills
Ability to learn new skills, talents and knowledge quickly
Is capable of managing 5 deliverable tasks or more at a time with verifying priorities
Accounting or Operations experience in a capital markets area is an asset
Qualifications:
REQUIREMENTS:
1 to 2 years of technical and/or operational experience with Calypso either in an Accounting or Settlements and Confirmation capacity
Possesses a university degree and 5+ years progressive business analysis/operations support, supporting enterprise-wide projects
Possesses advanced business knowledge in the Product Operations or Trading Products areas of Capital markets
Advanced knowledge of project management and system development life cycle
Is experienced in practical application development and/or client solution delivery
Is familiar with business assessment tools (e.g., feasibility studies, requirements documentation, workflow diagrams, and current state analysis/needs assessments)
Understands and is familiar with the application of techniques associated with process modeling and data modeling
Strong knowledge of and experience working with Derivative Operations and/or Capital Markets Middle Office
Holding or in pursuit of designations such as MBA/CFA/CBAP/PMP/FRM/DMS are a strong positive
Working Knowledge of Calypso is a must
Experience with the Calypso Back Office Module
