Our Banking client is looking for a Junior Financial Analyst (Bank, Power BI, Financial Reports, ETL)
Duration: 12 months contract with the possibility of extension and conversion to full time employment
Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid) - 1 to 2 times per week in office
Working Hours: 9 am - 5 pm EST
Line of Business: Technology & Operations (T&O) Business to Customer, Personal & Business Banking, and Wealth
Estimated Start Date: Mid August 2025

Requirements:
LINE OF BUSINESS
This group focuses on business enablement and management of portfolio, workforce, and supplier contracts. The team provides horizontal support function as well as reporting.

TEAM STRUCTURE
The team is very collaborative and does not work in a silo. The team is understanding and relaxed in terms of hierarchy. There will be 5-6 people in the immediate group, and 15 people total on the team.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (but are not limited to):
 Ensuring reports & data pulls are complete, timely, and accurate
 Collaborating with different groups to extract, clean and transform data from multiple systems into reporting objects for analysis
 Identifying, diagnosing, and solving problems with both data and visualizations
 Supporting development and execution of strategic analytics & reporting initiatives
 Documenting and maintaining operational procedures, design solutions and processes relating to analytical and reporting processes
 Working independently on a range of complex tasks
 Managing inquiries from teams about reports
 Producing standard month end/mid-month portfolio reports/dashboards/analysis, identifying key problem areas
 Extracting Data
 Pulling reports from Clarity and other systems
 Feed reports into Power BI
Qualifications:
MUST HAVE SKILLS
 Analysis/problem solving
 Independence and accountability/taking initiative
 Attentive to deadlines
 Post-secondary education in related field (i.e. business or math)
 Fresh graduates with 1-2 years of experience working in an office, co-op terms included
 Quick learner
 Communication/people skills
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS
 Power BI experience
 Microsoft Office experience (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
 Financial industry experience
INTERVIEW PROCESS
 One round with Hiring Manager and another senior manager for 45 minutes
