Job Description

Here is to your journey in HR! This is a full time job opportunity located in Toronto, working for a non-profit organization in the Health Industry.

Must be able to work days - Monday through Friday

Job Requirements:

- Create and maintain all records and databases
- Responds to employee HR inquiries in a timely manner.
- Aids with prescreening resumes, job offers, onboarding and orientation of new staff members
- Assists with variety of staff requests.
- Maintains both hard and digital copies of employee records.
- Ensures the effective and efficient use of human resources supplies and materials.
- Ensures that business equipment (computer, phones, printers etc) are in working order.
- Ensure all HR files, forms, materials are updated and maintained in a secure and confidential manner
- Participate in research, development and implementation of HR programs, policies, forms and initiatives
- Promote effective employee relations with both union and non-union employees, with a focus on strong
communications and interpersonal relationships
- Provide administrative support for record collection, keeping, entry of data into the HRIS and general HR
duties

Must have:
- 3yrs experience working in Human Resources
- Completion of Human Resources from an accredited College or University

Qualifications:
- Detail oriented and resourceful self- starter with demonstrated ability to take initiative
- Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills
- Strong time management, organizational, multi-tasking and problem solving skills required
- Able to work both independently and effectively with other team members
- Excellent computer skills and competency with all Microsoft Office applications, familiarity with HRIS systems an asset
- Proven ability to maintain confidentiality
- Flexible and able to balance competing priorities
- Knowledge and experience working within the deaf community and fluency in ASL OR strong commitment to engage in professional development to build skill and knowledge in ASL, Deaf culture and supporting Deaf or hard of hearing individuals and their community
