Presenting Our Esteemed Client:
Our client is a manufacturer and distributor of construction and landscaping machinery and equipment. They are currently seeking for forklift operators, who have experience and license for Order Picker, Raymond Reach and CounterBalance for day and afternoon shifts to join their team in Pickering, Ontario.
Location: Pickering (Vehicle is required to commute)
Shifts and Pay Rates:
Day Shift: 11 am to 7:30 PM - Pay Rate: $23 per hr + 4% Vacation pay
Afternoon Shift- 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM- Pay rate $23 a hour +4% vacation pay (Pay rate is paid as 3:30 to 8pm at $23/hour, after 8pm to 12am with additional night premium of $2/hour which makes them 4 hours paid at $25/hour
What a typical day looks like:
- Order picking of medium to large parts of heavy equipment using Counter Balance, Reach and Order Picker machines.
- Picking / put away/ shipping and receiving is the primary function.
- Scan and put away all new inventory into narrow aisle rack locations
- Scan and create 'pick carts' for picking
- Follow scanning instructions and pick & scan appropriate product and place & scan into corresponding tote/skid
- Careful handling of material is required as parts are very costly.
Requirements:
What are we looking for:
- Forklift license for Order Picker, CounterBalance and Raymond Reach
- At least 1 year experience with all three forklifts.
- Attention to detail
- Excellent organizational skills
- Able to use RF Scanner
- Knowledge of safety rules
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Ability to stand for long period of time
- Able to work, 11am - 7:30pm or 3:30pm - 12:00am
- Able to work OT as required on a volunteer basis
- Able to commute by vehicle
- Night shift premium $2 per hour from 8pm - midnight
