We are currently seeking a full-time Rail Dispatcher for a Transportation company located in the Brampton area.
This position requires an individual with proven Rail Dispatching experience within the Transportation/Logistics industry.
Pay: $21.00/hour
Schedule: Afternoons Wednesday-Sunday
Your Responsibilities as a Dispatcher:
- Coordinate, schedule, and dispatch drivers according to customer requirements
- Monitor driver routes to ensure timely delivery of freight
- Determine routing problems and resolve issues in a timely manner
- Record mileage, fuel use, and repairs
- Ensure drivers have all necessary paperwork before dispatching to client sites
- Other duties as required
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a Rail Dispatching role within the Transportation/Logistics Industry
- Previous dispatching experience in an LTL environment
- Strong knowledge of GTA geography
- Experience working with drivers/driver paperwork
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
- High attention to detail and ability to multitask
