- Design of land development and municipal infrastructure projects with a strong background in the design of roads, sewers, waterworks, and drainage works with a strong understanding of land development.
- Review proposals and technical reports.
- Supervise/lead/mentor technicians and junior engineers.
- Manage engineering projects including scope, schedule, budget, and client relationships.
- Assist team in developing client relationships.
- Develop technical skills, experience, and contribute to a positive team environment.
- Work closely with engineers, designers, drafters, inspectors, and support staff.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Degree in civil engineering from an accredited post-secondary institution.
- Minimum 10 years' experience in the design and management of land development and municipal infrastructure projects (Local BC experience considered an asset).
- Currently registered or eligible for immediate registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with the Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia with good standing.
- Strong knowledge of local municipalities' approval processes and design standards (MMCD).
- A high level of proficiency with civil engineering software applications.
- High level of analytical skills with exceptional time management and problem-solving skills.
- Strong technical and project management skills.
- Excellent workplace safety practices.
- Excellent interpersonal and communications (oral and written) skills.
- Strong ability to work under pressure and prioritize effectively with exceptional organization skills required in a rapidly changing environment.
- Ability to work in a collaborative, team environment.
- Valid BC driver's licence.
