Requirements:
JOB SUMMARY:
As the Information Services Finances Analyst, you will oversee Information Services financial results (capital and operating). This position supports IS budget development; guides ongoing adjustments to the spending forecast and performs monthly variance, trend analysis and interpretation. It also provides ongoing variance and trend analysis for the overall workforce plan for the IS department identifying areas where workforce plans and projected project/expense spend are not aligned.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, but are not limited to:
Work with IS business owners to prepare IS budget and monthly forecast
Prepare monthly journal entries for all IS transactions leading up to the financial statements
Perform account analysis and monthly reconciliations of key accounts;
Calculates, monitors, and communicates the costs associated with providing IS services.
Perform month end and year end closing responsibilities and reporting
Analyze financial results regularly to ensure financial data is complete and reflective of operational reality;
Serve as the liaison between IS and Finance, and HR as required
Prepare and provide ad hoc financial and data quality analysis for budget/forecast, capital projects, investment value realization to Manager, IS Finance
Qualifications:
THE REQUIREMENTS (skills contractor should have):
Degree or equivalent in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or other relevant field;
3-5 years of experience in budgeting or financial planning and reporting
Solid knowledge with systems (SAP) and advanced skills with Microsoft Excel;
Knowledge of IT standards, procedures & policy
Knowledge of IT project planning and organization
Knowledge of IT Service Management & Service Level Agreements
Cost-benefit analysis
Strong communication skills (written and oral)
Strong attention to detail
Continuous improvement mindset
The Work Products (systems/work products contractor will use):
- SAP, Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
