One of our Government clients is looking for a Records Management Clerk (Content, Document, Records, Information Mgmt.)
Location: REMOTE but MUST be living in Alberta, Canada.
Duration: 3 months with a possibility of an extension
Hours: Monday to Friday- 8:15am to 4:30pm MST (7.25 hour/day)

Requirements:
PROJECT OVERVIEW
The Contaminated Sites and Remediation section provides regulatory oversight for contamination management in Alberta. The records management specialist supports the section by ensuring consistency and transparency of records and accuracy of data. All records are digital, and the records management specialist will be uploading new submissions received to the OpenText Content Server, amending previously stored files to align with new processes, updating data in our electronic management system and linking records to correct geographic locations.

The records management specialist assists with the creation (making new files, amending the file structure), maintaining (ensuring file integrity, accustom those authorized, tracking of records, etc.) and disposition (ensuring that active records are separated from closed and inactive records, applying the appropriate schedules to records and finally ensuring the final disposition takes place, destruction or permanent); and image-based quality review of imaged records for compliance and risk management.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (but are not limited to):
 Interpreting Record Retention and Disposition Schedules to determine appropriate retention and final disposition.
 Electronic filing; and creating new files as required.
 Receiving, sorting and document preparation of incoming correspondence.
 Retrieval of routine requests for records.
 Use of electronic systems associated with updating and control of active and inactive records.
 Reviewing files and inventory lists for accuracy.
 Assisting with record cleanup projects (removing duplicates, ensuring records follow naming conventions).
 Support the transition from the electronic management system to the digital regulatory assurance system.
Qualifications:
MUST HAVES:
 High School Diploma/GED.
 Strong attention to detail and computer skills.
 Clear verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group.
 The ability to organize files, documents, etc.
 The ability to follow procedures and policies.
 Experience working in a role that required strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
 Experience with development and implementation of content management, document management, records management, and information management processes in applications.

NICE TO HAVE:
Technical Skills:
 Knowledge of Generally Accepted Record keeping Practices (GARP).

WORK EXPERIENCE:
 Experience with the Classification of Records.
 Experience with ECM tools. OpenText, Alfresco.
 Demonstrated experience with MS office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
 Experience with records management.
