Length: 1 year contract with the possibility of extension
Location: Toronto, ON - Hybrid (2-3 Days Onsite/Week)
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm
LOB: Environmental and Social Risk Management

Requirements:
ROLE MANDATE:
The bank is seeking a Project Control Officer on an enterprise-wide transformational program for Climate Risk. The successful candidate will provide project management support to the program leadership team and be responsible for developing and maintaining the project management plans for achieving the program's objectives. We are looking for a candidate with strong communications skills who understands project management methodology and has experience in managing the schedule, scope, financials, risks, and issues on large scale initiatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
 Support work from initiation to implementation, managing scope, schedule and cost, and all stakeholder groups.
 Manage all aspects of the project lifecycle and ensure all project managements processes are completed.
 Build detailed project plans, encompassing all stakeholder groups and ensure risks, decisions, changes and issues are communicated, approved and documented.
 Learn and execute on all Banking project processes and develop all project management artifacts, complying with applicable enterprise standards.
 Understand program interdependencies and demonstrate critical thinking that proactively identifies risks and establishes effective risk mitigation.
 Demonstrate ownership and commitment by holding themselves accountable for the identification and resolution of program issues.
 Represent the program in team meetings, governance forums and inter-department forums.
 Direct and coordinate team members in creation of both project plans, and detailed playbooks for execution.
 Understand how to manage teams from different groups across the enterprise in a highly integrated environment.
 Manage the program budget, including resource forecasting and variance management.
 Manage the program SharePoint site for all project artifacts.
 Provide weekly status reporting on all key metrics and milestones.
Qualifications:
MUST-HAVE SKILLS:
 Knowledge and expertise in the use of project management methodologies and tools (e.g. Clarity, MS Project, SharePoint repositories, Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
 Experience in supporting large-scale projects or programs of significant complexity and high value (~$10MM or higher).
 Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
 Strong relationship management skills with experience facilitating cross-functional conversations and collaborating with stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
 Effective identification, tracking, and reporting of project risk/issues and mitigation/resolution plans.
 Effective financial management and project status reporting to business sponsors and related stakeholders.
 Highly motivated and proactive; able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
 Well-organized with a keen eye to detail and a 'can-do' attitude with a results-oriented approach.
 Ability to take technical and complex information and distill it into key messages that make sense for the audience.

REQUIREMENTS:
 Bachelor's degree required.
 PMP certification.

Nice to Haves:
 Previous experience in the banking industry, ideally on an enterprise-wide risk or regulatory initiative
