Length: 4 Months contract with a possibility of extension
Location: Remote - California
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8am - 4pm PST or 9am - 5pm CST

OVERVIEW:

As we reimagine the customer experience, we're looking for an experienced, self-starting Senior Content Designer to help us bring online banking to the next level and help steer our Content approach in the right direction.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Experience Design, this Senior Content Designer role is responsible for overseeing the development of a customer-first, innovative, engaging, brand-aligned digital content experience for Bank's Online Banking platforms. This is a critical position within the Experience Design Team, and the ideal candidate will have the opportunity to work in tandem with Content and Product Design colleagues within the larger Experience Design group. Together you'll use research, strategy and data as part of the end-to-end design process from mock-up to final draft and design. This Senior Content Designer will meet regularly with other Content Designers on the project to review work, identify opportunities for consistency and improve operational process.

Working virtually, this Content Designer will also attend regular meetings, agile ceremonies and not be afraid to speak up and be candid, rationalize their work, assess feedback and negotiate with partners when needed.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
 Oversee the development of carefully written short-form content within complex digital interfaces
 Review and approve final copy and demonstrate the ability to support content choices to stakeholders and negotiate/compromise when needed
 Work closely with Product Designers to define and develop thoughtful designs and flows that integrate understanding of content together with visuals and interactive components
 Collaborate with design partners, Product Owners and other Content Designers to ensure content supports and enhances the product to meet business objectives
 and drive bottom-line results
 Be a leader in the content space, making strategic decisions as part of Bank's cross-functional agile teams
 Take a proactive approach to improving and developing content guidelines to ensure maintenance, consistency and optimize existing experiences

You'll be a great fit if you:
 Are tenacious in meeting deadlines, well organized, adapt at juggling multiple priorities to meet deliverable dates
 Strategic project management skills
 Motivated self-starter with a strong work ethic
 Flexibility to quickly adjust to unforeseen changes in priorities and workload
 Are easily adaptable, have experience writing for apps with a focus on user experience, and have worked in the Financial Institution digital space
Qualifications:
MUST HAVES:
 In-depth knowledge of digital/mobile and user experience
 Mobile and desktop application experience
 6+ years of experience writing content (digital content)
 Skilled at using Figma for documentation, iteration, and collaboration
 Strategic project management skills & the ability to educate and gain sign-off from senior stakeholders
 Experience executing a successful online customer experience through content

NICE TO HAVE:
 Experience in the Financial Institution digital space a plus

SOFT SKILLS:
 Strong communication skills and excellent writing and presentation skills; self-motivation and creativity
 Resourceful self-starter who can analyze complex problems quickly and methodically
 Ability to work independently, with a disciplined and organized approach
 Team player and relationship-builder, able to effectively work cross-functionally and gain consensus when needed Cross-functional relationships
 Partner with cross-functional teams for digital content delivery and strategy, especially with Product Designers and dev team when needed
 Work daily with partners across the Bank to maintain content and manage deliverables

EDUCATION:
 Bachelors' Degree or Diploma in English, Digital Communications or similar
