Length: 12-month contract with a strong possibility of an extension
Location: Toronto, ON - Hybrid (minimum one day per week, typically Mondays)
Hours: SBH- 37.5hrs/week, Monday-Friday
Line of Business: Digital Channels

Requirements:
ROLE MANDATE:
The Channel Analyst is responsible for developing automated, scalable reporting and analytics solutions for Canadian P&C, with a focus on dashboard development. This position will support omni-channel analytics through delivery of reporting, insights and measurement in line with Enterprise strategy and Digital Acceleration.
The incumbent will act as reporting and analytics subject matter expert for the Digital Channels portfolio, combining both business and technology acumen to generate and maintain reporting in various forms (ad-hoc analyses, data visualization, self-serve BI). The analytics is primarily on Customers' Online and Mobile banking features usage to improve engagement.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (but are not limited to):
Build Power BI Dashboards from scratch and maintain existing reporting
Data curation - extracting data from multiple sources, manipulating and validation using database tools
Must have SAS, SQL skills and experience to do so
Identify, analyze, and interpret trends of patterns in complex data set. Analyze data to drive business decisions and actionable recommendations
Assimilate and analyze information from a variety of sources, make recommendations and present information in an easy and understandable manner
Develop in-depth understanding of data and systems (IDP, CAD, CDW, Adobe)
Work proactively and collaboratively with key clients and stakeholders to continuously enhance reporting and identify KPI's
Quality check key deliverables, ensuring they are delivered accurately and to the highest quality
Qualifications:
EDUCATION:
A university degree in mathematics, statistics, economics, econometrics, engineering, computer science, physics
MUST-HAVE SKILLS:
3+ years' experience in business intelligence/ ETL and analytics
3+ years' experience in Finance industry
Strong experience within data preparation, data analysis, and statistical tool sets- particularly SQL, SAS expertise
Experience implementing data visualization (Power BI, Spotfire, Tableau)
Strong verbal and written communication
Responsive and experience in engaging with stakeholders of all designations
Strong logical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills
Willingness to learn and being curious.
Ability to perform on multiple projects simultaneously and deliver under tight timelines
NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS:
Power BI, SQL certificates a nice to have
Previous experience in data management/data architecture an asset
Previous developer (Power BI) experiences an asset
